NRA Home Firearm Safety/ Gun Safety Course

Description

The NRA Home Firearm Safety Course is the basic course we recommend to anyone who would like to be better educated about keeping guns in their home, who needs to learn gun terminology and become more competent around firearms.

In this four hour course students will receive the NRA's Home Firearms Safety handbook, pamphlets on safety and terminology and lessons on the rules of safe gun handling.  You will also learn to identify and unload various firearms, ammunition, cleaning, and storage. Students will also receive hands-on experience with the most common types of handguns, rifles and shotguns.

Lessons

1. Rules for Safe Gun Handling
2. Identifying and Unloading Different Firearms
3. Practical Exercises in Safe Gun Handling
4. Types of Ammunition; Cleaning and Storage of Firearms

Prerequisites

The are no prerequisites for taking this course and the material can be understood by mature people of all ages.

Course Completion

Students will receive feedback on the practical exercises and a course completion certificate.

Cost: $100 cash

Payment must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled class.

Included in cost: classroom, firearms and weapons for use during class are supplied, student handbook, certificate of completion.
